MYO
King's Cross, London
Illuminationworks delivered the lighting design for MYO King's Cross, Landsec's largest and most ambitious flexible workspace to date. Working alongside architects SODA Studio, we developed a scheme that supports the building's WELL Platinum ambitions across 80,000 sq ft of private offices, meeting rooms, wellness suites and a Grade II listed heritage events venue spanning two interconnected buildings.
Our approach was led by wellbeing and circadian comfort. High-quality, full-spectrum light defines the working floors, while softer, mood-driven schemes shape breakout and relaxation areas, allowing the atmosphere to shift with how each space is used. To reinforce wayfinding and circulation, we integrated concealed LED channels within bespoke timber handrails, washing the stair cores and transitional spaces in subtle ambient light.
Echoing SODA Studio's material narrative and Landsec's vision for a healthier, design-led workplace, the lighting balances heritage character with contemporary precision creating an environment that feels considered, adaptable and genuinely human throughout.
